In January of 2015, I arrived at Split Rock Cove Residency to spend 3 weeks alone, in the beautiful Maine winter landscape.
My goal for this residency was to explore the new medium of watercolor with no distractions or interruptions.

Beautiful and solitary inspiration was everywhere. My days were simple and peaceful: good food, yoga, walks and painting.

I’ve continued to do watercolors…for me, watercolors are imbued with that solitary peaceful feeling I had a Split Rock Cove.
